These Oleander standards will make a stunning addition to your home or garden ? adding height, vibrant colour and sweet fragrance all summer long. Covered in exotic pink flowers from May right through to September. Perfect for mixing up with other pure green leaved varieties, the leaves are fantastic for breaking up colours and adding foliage interest when flowers have faded. Oleanders are drought resistant and simply love hot dry Mediterranean weather, yet they thrive in the UK too. Remarkably they are perfectly happy in conditions down to -5?C!
Note: We use several varieties of pink, ranging from dark hot pink to pale pink – so the exact colour you receive may vary.
Supplied approx. 80-110cm tall in a 18cm nursery pot, ready to plant straight out.
Care Information
Water freely in summer and apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every two weeks until June. Then switch to high potassium fertiliser, using it until the flower buds show colour.
In winter, stop feeding, reduce the watering, (keep plants on the dry side).
Flowering occurs in late summer (July to October) on new shoots of the current season?s growth, so prune in late winter or early spring.
Remove all thin crowded shoots and tip-prune young plants. Cut flowered shoots by half and the side shoots to 10cm (4in).
